Womanhood - Episode 1: Introduction

Ginny:

Hello, and welcome to the very first episode of Womanhood. I am your host, Jenny Robinson, and I am so excited to head out on this journey with you guys as we explore what it means to be a woman according to God's word. Whether you're single, dating, engaged, or married, this podcast is designed to help you understand and embrace your biblical role in relationships and marriage. In today's world, there are countless voices telling us what it means to be a woman. The messages are often conflicting and confusing, leaving many of us feeling lost or unsure of our true purpose.

Ginny:

But here on Womanhood, we are cutting through the noise and turning to the ultimate source of truth, the Bible. So what will we be talking about on this podcast? Well, our primary focus will be on understanding women's biblical gender roles, especially in the context of dating and marriage. We will dive into scripture to uncover God's design for women and discuss how we can live out those roles in our daily lives. Each episode will feature bible verses and stories that reinforce our discussions.

Ginny:

We will explore passages like Proverbs 31, Ephesians 5, and first Peter 3, which provide invaluable insights into God's expectations for women. We will also take a closer look at the lives of biblical women such as Ruth, Esther, and Mary, and learn from their examples of faithfulness, courage, and devotion. But that's not all. I am thrilled to announce that we will also be speaking to many modern day biblical women. These are women who have embraced their god given roles and have thriving, successful marriages as a result of that.

Ginny:

They will share their personal stories, struggles, and triumphs, giving us practical advice and encouragement. Through their experiences, we'll learn how to emulate their faith and apply biblical principles to our own relationships. To give you a sneak peek, in upcoming episodes, we'll be discussing topics such as the importance of in a godly marriage, practical ways to support and honor our husbands as the spiritual heads of our homes. We'll also address common challenges and questions that many of us face. How do we navigate modern dating culture while staying true to our biblical values?

Ginny:

What does it mean to be a helper suitable for our future spouse? How can we prepare ourselves spiritually and emotionally for marriage? These are just a few of the topics we'll cover together. I want this podcast to be a supportive space where we can grow together as sisters in Christ. Whether you're listening at home, in your car, or during your daily walk, I hope you find encouragement, wisdom, and inspiration in each episode.

Ginny:
